The Fox | 27

The Stoat stood frozen,

But prepared,

To say his ultimate

Farewell.

The Fox, and Co, they

Glared, and snarled.

But others stood by,

And wished him well.

They desperately desired

To help, and to resist.

But for their own

Preservation,

They could do little else

But desist.

The Stoat, he did not blame them,

Their hearts well quite well placed.

They’d stood where he was stood,

A different demon, though, they faced.
